Compared to other electric systems using old technologies designed over twenty years ago, the BOLT Electric combines cutting-edge technology with a robust and water-tight actuator. This new “Superior by Design” technology resolves the issues that older systems have with breaking apart and water intrusion caused by design flaws and marine growth.

While we strongly recommend hydraulic trim tabs for most applications, electric trim tab systems are suitable for:

• Trailered boats from 17-28 feet
• Single actuator use, due to the inability to synchronize two electric actuators on the same tab

The Bolt Trim Tab system adopts excellent sealing design and manufacture, which is inspired by Bennetts’ more than 50 years of successful experience in hydraulic trimming technology. The sturdy, waterproof black nylon actuator provides years of trouble-free operation. The wires and seals are fully protected from the harsh marine environment, preventing problematic leaks and marine growth. Installation is quick and easy, no need to assemble the actuator yourself. The system includes (2) 12V actuators with 6 wiring harnesses and waterproof connectors, (2) stainless steel decorative sheets and mounting plates, and (2) 20 wiring harnesses with waterproof connectors. It can be used on almost any type of ship.
